CF Benidorm return to action this weekend with an away trip to CE Alberic Sucemart on Saturday 24 October, as the league leaders look to continue their push at the top of the Lliga Comunitat.
The match is confirmed for a 6:15pm kick-off local time in Spain, which is 5:15pm UK time.
Alberic in Impressive Form
Benidorm head into the fixture following the postponement of last weekend’s highly anticipated top-of-the-table clash against CD Olímpic Xàtiva, which was called off due to the red weather warning across the region.
Alberic, however, managed to play their fixture on Saturday, the day before the weather warning, and produced an impressive performance away to Benigànim C.F., securing a convincing 4-0 victory. That result leaves Alberic sitting fifth in the league table, just three points behind Benidorm, who remain at the summit despite having a game in hand following last weekend’s postponement.
With Alberic closing the gap on the leaders, Saturday’s encounter promises to be a significant test for Benidorm as they look to return to winning ways and maintain their position at the top.
Update on the Postponed CD Olímpic Fixture
There has also been an update regarding Benidorm’s postponed fixture against CD Olímpic Xàtiva.
The FFCV has confirmed that the match must be played no later than Thursday 19 November. Both clubs have until 9am on Monday 26 October to agree on a new date and kick-off time. Should the clubs fail to reach an agreement before the deadline, the FFCV will determine when the fixture takes place.
Further details will follow once the rearranged date and kick-off time have been confirmed.
Santa Pola Fixture Venue in Doubt
There is also uncertainty surrounding the arrangements for the upcoming fixture against Santa Pola.
It was previously reported that the match would take place at Villajoyosa due to the annual reseeding work at the Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor. However, that arrangement is now in doubt due to circumstances beyond the club’s control.
Further details are not available at this stage, and supporters are advised that the venue and/or date could change. An update will be published as soon as official information becomes available, with an announcement also expected through CF Benidorm’s official channels.

With Alberic coming into the match on the back of a 4-0 victory and sitting just three points behind the leaders, Benidorm face a crucial away test as they return to league action.
