CF Benidorm Weekly Review: Stadium Improvements, Women’s Fixtures and Santa Pola Test

It has been another busy week for CF Benidorm, with developments both on and off the pitch as the club continues to make progress across its various teams. From significant improvements to the Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor to another important weekend of fixtures for the women’s sides and a crucial encounter for the men’s first team, there is plenty to look forward to in Benidorm.

Major Floodlighting Improvements Taking Shape at Guillermo Amor

Work is progressing on an important upgrade to the floodlighting system at the Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor, with the first of the new 35-metre lighting towers now in position and fitted with modern LED floodlights.

The project represents a significant investment from Benidorm Town Hall as part of wider efforts to improve the stadium’s infrastructure and bring the facilities up to the standards required for football at a higher level. Alongside improving visibility during evening fixtures, the introduction of LED technology is expected to deliver greater energy efficiency and modernise the stadium’s existing lighting arrangements.

The improvements represent another positive step for the club and the wider sporting facilities in Benidorm as ambitions continue to grow.

Women’s First Team Prepare for Home Encounter

CF Benidorm’s senior women’s first team are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they welcome Atlético San Miguel to the Campos Antonio López in the Primera Regional.

The Benidorm side will be looking to make the most of home advantage as they continue their campaign, with another opportunity to build on their performances and compete for three important points. The squad will be hoping to demonstrate the work being put in on the training ground, maintaining their intensity and commitment throughout the contest.

With another three points up for grabs, the young Benidorm players will be aiming to continue their development while putting together a strong collective performance. It promises to be another test of their teamwork, determination and ability to maintain their standards away from home.

Men’s First Team: Santa Pola Fixture Venue Confirmed

CF Benidorm have confirmed the arrangements for Sunday’s Lliga Comunitat encounter against Santa Pola CF, with supporters receiving some welcome news ahead of the fixture.

The match will take place on Sunday 8 November, with an 11:00am local kick-off (10:00am UK time). However, supporters heading to the Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor should be aware that the fixture will not take place inside the club’s usual home stadium. Instead, the game will be staged at the neighbouring Campos de Fútbol Hermanos Juan y Miguel Martínez Munuera.

The temporary change is necessary because the playing surface at the Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor is currently undergoing its winter seeding programme. With the maintenance work preventing the club from using its regular home pitch, alternative arrangements have been finalised to ensure Sunday’s fixture can go ahead at the nearby facilities.

There is also positive news for those planning to attend, with CF Benidorm confirming that admission will be completely free. Although the alternative venue is situated immediately next to the Guillermo Amor, supporters should make sure they head to the correct entrance and facilities on matchday.

On the pitch, Sergio Mora’s side will be looking to build on an excellent start to their league campaign. Following last weekend’s entertaining 4-2 victory over Benigànim CF, Benidorm returned to the top of the Lliga Comunitat Group South standings.

The result continued an impressive unbeaten run, with six victories and two draws from their opening eight league matches, collecting 20 points from a possible 24. Sunday’s meeting with Santa Pola offers another opportunity to maintain that consistency and strengthen their position in the promotion race.

With free admission confirmed and another important three points available, supporters will hopefully turn out in numbers to back the team as they look to continue their excellent form.

Sunday’s Match Details:

  • Fixture: CF Benidorm v Santa Pola CF
  • Competition: Lliga Comunitat – Group South
  • Date: Sunday 8 November 2026
  • Kick-off: 11:00am Spanish time (10:00am UK)
  • Venue: Campos de Fútbol Hermanos Juan y Miguel Martínez Munuera
  • Admission: Free for all supporters
