CF Benidorm fan favourite Daniel Adom (No.19) has been handed a two-match suspension following his red card in Sunday’s 2–1 victory away to UD Rayo Ibense.
Daniel was shown a straight red card in the 77th minute following an incident involving an opposing player.
It was alleged that Daniel had just been punched in the groin by the opponent before he lashed out in retaliation. According to the referee’s report, after Daniel had been fouled by an opponent, he “struck the opponent’s leg with his fist using excessive force, with no possibility of playing the ball.”
The severity of the incident meant there were fears that Daniel could potentially face a four-match suspension. However, the final punishment has been confirmed as a two-match suspension.
Daniel will now miss CF Benidorm’s next two fixtures. He will be unavailable for the home match against CD Almoradí before also missing the away trip to Novelda Unión CF Cableworld.
The suspension comes after another important contribution to Benidorm’s impressive start to the season. Including the winner against CFI Alicante which finished in a 2-1 for CF Benidorm. The victory over Rayo Ibense last time out made it four wins from four in the league, keeping CF Benidorm at the top of the table.
Daniel will now serve his two-match suspension before becoming available for selection again.
For CF Benidorm, attention now turns to the next two fixtures as the club looks to continue its perfect start to the league campaign without one of its fan favourites.
CF Benidorm UK will continue to bring you the latest news and updates from the club, both on and off the pitch.
